The Mount Gilead Public Library  reopened for in-person browsing March 1st, the first time the building has been fully accessible in months. Hours remain 10:30 am to 7:00 pm Monday through Thursday; 10:30 am to 5:00 pm Friday and Saturday; and closed Sundays. The staff will continue to provide drive-up and curbside service.

From borrowing books and movies or picking up holds to even printing via the library’s Wi-Fi, the library’s new drive-up window looks to make utilizing library services even easier.

The Mount Gilead Public Library is currently accepting applications for the part-time position of Library Aide.

We know that 2020 was a year like no other. COVID-19 changed so many aspects of how our library functioned in 2020. We invite you to look at our year in review, as we detail the many accomplishments we achieved throughout the year.

New at the library: one-on-one virtual tutoring service! Need homework help? Having trouble understanding when doing virtual learning? Now the Mount Gilead Public Library is providing free one-on-one tutoring via Google Meet. 

It’s holiday craft time! Starting on Monday, Nov.30th we will kick off our Holiday Take & Make Crafts. A new kit will be available every TWO weeks for adults/young adults and every week for kids.
